After being overweight my entire life, I decided to make a change in college and hire a personal trainer. She taught me a good amount of knowledge and from there I began to study the rest on my own. I enjoyed being able to push myself and find new barriers to break through, but also
learn about how nutrition and exercise affect our bodies. I became a personal trainer shortly thereafter with the intention of helping people much like myself feel and move better. The best part about this industry is that it is ever changing and evolving. I have the opportunity to learn about new things and better ways to help people everyday.
Ever since obtaining my Pilates Reformer and Cancer Exercise certifications, I really enjoy rehab based and functional movement training. Having a major injury myself motivated me to slow down a little and focus on my foundation more which translated into my training. It excites me when I see my clients feel/move better after dealing with a recent or chronic injury.
