BodyBurn Team Goals for 2017

Updated: Mar 12, 2019

Happy new year!  The start of the new year is always a great time to hit the "reset" button and set goals for oneself.  We have asked all of you to set BodyBurn goals for yourself so we wanted to share our personal goals with all of you.

Adi: I want to teach my kids healthy eating habits. My own diet is typically based on protein and veggies with limited to no carbs. When it comes to my kids, carbs and sugar dominate. Take for example, Itai, my 8 years old son, who could easily eat 5 slices of pizza and ask for more ????. Eating meals as a family is an important factor in shaping kids' healthy attitude towards food. In 2017, I plan to cook and eat meals together with my kids.  I will also portion control and cut down on how much fat, carbs and sugar my kids eat or drink.

Ashley: We all know the importance of staying hydrated and drinking water. I tell my clients all the time to drink lots of water even though I do not always follow through with it! In 2017, I am going to make sure I drink less coffee and more water. Not only does water keep us refreshed, there are many other benefits! Water helps keep our skin healthy, helps with weight loss and keeps us full which leads to eating less!

James: Legs! I need to stop avoiding my biggest LEGS! For the longest time, I have focused on upper body, strength/endurance, cardio, abs, and nutrition. Enough is enough. This year I am going to attack my lower body with a routine so fierce and so nasty, my legs won't even know what hit them. I will change. I will be better because of it, and I can't wait!

Jo: I need to work on my sleep routine. Sleep is an important part of the fitness process because this is the crucial time in your day when you get to repair your body. Sleep has never been a priority for me because there are just too many things to do and never enough time in my day. However, when you work out hard, it is just as important to rest, repair and refresh.

Ray: I will eat less junk food when nobody is looking. I mean, let's face it, it's easy to eat healthy in front of people. It's not so easy to eat healthy at 9pm after a long day and nobody is watching you. I plan on doing this with the help of others. The help from other people who want to be held accountable for their nutrition. I am going to create a "nutrition made simple" movement thru social media. #EatLessBadFood

Rich: I am entering my first bodybuilding competition! This is more of a bucket list / get my body in peak condition goal. I have always been strong enough and maintained good enough nutrition to get by, but I never took my body to where I really wanted to see it. The goal is to not just feel comfortable, but feel f*cking confident with my shirt off whenever and where ever. I will accomplish this by working with a bodybuilding coach, using a local meal delivery service, and by following a strict workout regiment of our amazingly effective BodyBurn class and free weights. I turn 40 in 2017 and I have a son on the way.  I want to be the best example for him and my wife.
